Birth preparation weekend
Designed for couples, this is a weekend to dedicate to this beautiful time as you look ahead to the birth of your baby. Focusing particularly on ways of releasing the vital hormone, oxytocin, otherwise known as the Love Hormone, in preparation for the all-important birth.
In this supportive and non-judgemental environment, you and your birth partner will have the opportunity to nourish and nurture each other. Led by Harriet Green, an experienced yoga teacher and birth doula, we will provide you with classes on yoga, breathing techniques, sound work, as well as talks from other relevant holistic health practitioners which will help you to make the right choices regarding your birth and pregnancy. The aim is for you to gain a better understanding of childbirth and motherhood by teaching holistic techniques that are not often found in more ‘mainstream’ birth preparation classes.

More about Harriet Green
I have always had a fascination and respect for the magic and power of pregnancy and childbirth, and this, coupled with the many pregnant women who I used to come into contact with whilst teaching yoga, inspired me to start training in perinatal yoga with Francoise Barbira Freedman at Birthlight. Since completing that Diploma, I have continued studies in postnatal yoga, birth preparation, and I am about to start training in baby yoga too.
I am a recognised birth doula with Doula UK, having attended several births at home, in hospital and one where the baby didn’t want to wait for the midwife to arrive! I absolutely LOVE working with women at this time and helping them and their partners to have the best possible experience through their pregnancy, birth and journey as parents. It's about finding tools to help you connect with yourself and your baby...to trust your instincts and intuition allowing you to have the positive experience that you deserve.
