More about the teacher:
"Harriet, whose original background lies in the world of dance and performing arts, has studied with and draws influence from many school of Yoga, including Sivananda, Satyananda, Vinyasa flow, and Jivamukti and has studied with a range of teachers such as Jeff Phenix, Shiva Rea, Brian Cooper, David Sye, Alexa Harris and Swami Saradananda among others. Harriet has also worked extensively with women pre, postnatally and during birth, in her capacity as a Birthlight Yoga teacher and a Birth Doula, having trained with Francoise Barbera-Freedman and Michel Odent.
Harriet teaches a style of yoga that incorporates elements from her dance background and blends Hatha (steady poses and breath work) with Vinyasa (a more fluid and dance like style) depending on the individuals in the group. With experience teaching retreats and workshops worldwide, Harriet tailors each class to suit all abilities and needs. With variations and challenges for those who require them and time also to focus on meditation, breath work and relaxation too. Harriet believes firmly that although Yoga requires discipline and patience, it should be fun, and there is no better place to experience that than in the nurturing and safe environment of a Yoga retreat. We will have time to experiment with and perhaps challenge ourselves physically, time to reflect and time to rejuvenate and revitalise the system as a whole, energetically, physically and mentally. "
